Esther Ling asked the studio to re-design her current website, making it wider and to accommodate larger images, but keeping the style and navigation more-or-less the same. We placed a new set of Flash slideshows which Esther can now update herself and brought the navigation to outside of the flash movie so it becomes more search engine friendly. Dougal Waters popped into the studio today to finish work on his new website, which will be launched in the very near future. Fantastic quality of photography as usual and a pleasure to work with Dougal who’s eye for detail and accuracy is second to none. Check out his work on Getty images, searching for ‘Photographer Dougal Waters’.
I’ll let you know when it’s live so you can see his amazing work.

The wide-screen 16:9 ratio that new laptops and HD televisions adopt now provides a very wide and narrow screen for photography, especially if your trying to show portrait oriented images. I personally love the cinematic style crops of images that give the viewer a wider perspective, image providing obviously. So what’s the best format to deal with both portrait and landscape images? Or, do we simply not show portrait images?

So far this year, I have been pleased to send out quite a lot of posters, from sales off the FREEFLOW website the most popular one still being the Chakras poster. Another one going out this afternoon to a customer in Australia! I am interested in developing another poster on a topic of holistic therapy, but not sure what. I have been toying for a while about a meridians poster, but there are a lot out there already. Any ideas?!
